Title: Is there a way of putting 'news posts' from portal in other boards in forum?
Post by: Babyfacemagee on December 25, 2011, 02:10:22 PM
Is there a way of setting up simple portal so that I can have a news story on my front portal page...let's say about a new app that just came out for a product...and then have that news story be accessible to forum members in an 'app' board that they can also add their own posts too but the difference being MY posts or news stories show up on the portal page...but their's don't.   Understand what I mean?  For instance in my site 'kindlefireforums (dot) com' i'd like to be able to categorize all my front page news portal posts in different boards, but allow members to post in the same boards without their posts showing up on the portal.

Right now I have it structured so that I just have one 'news and front page articles' board that all my front portal posts are saved in and that board has everything in it show up on the portal...but members can't post anything to that board.  I have none of the other boards in the forum highlighted in my 'block' thus only this one board shows up on the front portal.  I'd prefer to be able to choose 'per post' to show up on the portal and not an entire board.   Is there a way of configuring articles so that it will do this???  I hope I'm explaining this right and you understand what I mean.  In a nutshell I'd like to post anywhere in the forum on any board and just choose which one's show up on the portal page but not be limited to having all my front portal posts/news stories have to reside in just one board.

Thanks in advance.
