Simple Portal began as a rudimentary portal system designed and coded by [SiNaN]. A one page, few settings mod, that triggered the need for a portal that was simple, elegant, and powerful. A simple portal to match Simple Machines Forums (SMF).

[SiNaN] evolved the portal through its first version, and into its second with the help of SimplePortals growing userbase. Using user-suggestions [SiNaN] customised the layout and added new features, releasing his second SimplePortal version with the user in mind.

To facilitate the increasing popularity of the portal and expanding userbase, [SiNaN] increased his team. The new SimplePortal team quickly established a website as an official demo and support site for SimplePortal. It stands today with that same function.
