Thank you for your interest in contributing to the SimplePortal project! There are many ways you can contribute to the project and many of them don't require you to know how to code. Contributing is easy, and it could catch our attention – we're always looking for new team members to help us make SimplePortal better!

Donating to SimplePortal is the easiest way to contribute. Money raised through donations goes straight back into the project, keeping our site and development areas up and running so we can keep moving SimplePortal forward!

Donators get some benefits as our way of saying thank you. These benefits include advanced betas, free installs and upgrades (on their site only), and up to three custom blocks coded for them if they need one! Donators also get a badge, and a couple of boards in which they can talk to other donators and ask for support.

If you would like to donate, you can donate $5 for a month of donator access, or $50 for a year of donator access. Additionally, you can donate your own amount through PayPal here. To become a donator, check out the paid subscriptions section of your profile.

Joining the Community Support Helpers is a great way to help others and expand your knowledge. You could even make some friends helping out, and the SimplePortal team is always looking for new Support Specialists. Helping out in the community is a great way to showcase your enthusiasm and talent for support and be recognized as a potential Support Specialist candidate.

Just like SimplePortal is always looking for Support Specialists, Customisers are also needed. Sharing your own customizations for SimplePortal is a great way to help others expand their portals and get involved in contributing to the SimplePortal project.

If you can write blocks, sharing some or writing some for those who are requesting assistance is an awesome way to help out and will get you noticed fast!

If you can modify SimplePortals existing code to get the results you want, there are heaps of requests for things like that too! From layout to function, people always want things changed. Sharing some simple tips and tricks is an easy way to contribute to the community.

Testing the software for bugs and reporting them helps the SimplePortal developers and other team members move much faster – and brings everyone a better quality portal! The faster bugs are reported, the faster SimplePortal can put out a new version with some awesome new features.

If you think you may have found something that isn't right, we would love it to be reported to our bug tracker. A bug is simply something that doesn't work, or doesn't work as expected. A bug could also be a spelling mistake or unclear wording. Anything potentially wrong with SimplePortal can be considered a bug.
