Topic: Quotes-Collection - need help for building a block

I've done it - I created my first mod called "Quotes" for 202 which is for collecting quotes - hard work  - because I am noob and the template I used for was hard for me to modify.

This mod allows member to create a quote where he has to enter the name, date of birth/death, his profession and of course - the quote - also he has to enter a pic - it works with english and german language.

So what I need/ would like to have is a block which shows just one (random) quote for the top or bottom block - or 2 (random) quotes for the header or footer

I hope it is allowd to attach my mod here for people are willing to help out in this matter - maybe this one is also useful for other people

Means you are able to enter own verses and save them as or in a textfile somewhere?
Have you done it all manaually or did you create an "own" mod with all your changes?
if so - yo are willing to share it?
I want - like I did  - a special page for members where they can save their verses - I just asked for help if it is possible to get a randomized solution which shows in a pretty looking frame one vers in a block - or just the author and the qote itself
The data in my solution is stored in table{db_prefix}quotes. The pic is stored in /attachments start with qu_<hashvalue>.extension like jpg, png,...

Some weeks ago, i have the idea to make the things more easy. And a good resource for more quotes. unfortunately, i have not enough PHP-Coding skills...

My idea was to make a small icon next to the "report to moderator"-Link. And if some member, found a good quote/phrases/sentences/whatever in a regular post from other member, he can mark this words, press the button and than the admin will see this in a list.

In this list he can choose the best quotes or enter quotes themself.

i add some pictures, maybe u understand better what i mean...

Maybe somebody can do a mod for this - or we can collect some money and lets do a pro his job !?
