Location of Bottom Block
« on: June 25, 2012, 06:03:12 PM »
On my Portal view, my bottom blocks (which are currently my gallery and tags) don't go all the way across the bottom like they do in my forum.  They are centered in the middle.  Is there a way to make them go all the way across the screen?

Here is my portal:  www.aquapuppies.com
And here is my forum:  www.aquapuppies.com/aquapuppies/index.php

Thanks!!

You have a lot of blocks!
If it is not a problem with ordering and position its maybe best to put the gallery in a footer block position - that should make it fill the page right across.

I also moved this to the English support board - hope that's ok. If it works please mark the topic solved.

Yep! I like 'em!   :D  But they are really only on that entrance page.  The forum doesn't have anything except the gallery/tags at the bottom.

How would I move that block to the footer?

Do you mean put it in my Global Headers & Footers? I don't know how to do that, unless it's just transferring the code that's in the Simple Portal blocks right into SMF's Global Headers & Footers mod.

Ok... its easy but  step by step for a couple of things.

1. I do not know what gallery you have, or how you put it in a block, if it is in one...

2. It is very simple to put a gallery in an iframe. This iframe code for the gallery goes in a block. I guess you have done that already???

3. To make the bars go all the way to the sides you must put it in a footer block. Its a new position in Simple Portal.
When you make a block (html) in the admin section just make one in the footer section at the bottom of the page. There are lots of example codes on the web to put your gallery link in an iframe. Unfortunately I will not have internet access for a week so good luck, and if trouble the others will help.

I use this iframe for my gallery in a block, in a page.

That's the thing. I don't have a footer block option.  I'm running SimplePortal 2.3.3. I only have a left, right, top and bottom.  I use Aeva Media 1.4 for my gallery.

If you can, I recommend coming up to Simple Portal 2.3.5.
