  • xeon365: ie where username profile link.. its just getting the membergroup color directly and adding it as inline style.. would be better if it instead just added the membergroup as a css class that can be styled by the theme

  • xeon365: omg why isn't membergroup got proper css class.. not dumping inline css style

  • [SiNaN]: SimplePortal 2.3.5 package is listed in Stable SimplePortal Packages category in Downloads area.
    October 03, 2014, 06:08:01 AM
  • stanyy: SP 2.3.5 is not available in the downloads section?? The big download link on the homepage points newcomers to the downloads section who then download 2.3.4. Not good.

  • Mulwa: if simpleportal team could make some of the blocks like articles to display photos just like how ebay does, it would be very great for shopping

If you just want to put a photo and maybe some text or link on your front page - put it in a block.

Make a Simple Portal block using bbc code or custom html type standard blocks. Set it to appear on the portal page.

In the block when editing, all you need to do is put in the code with the url of your photo.

You can find good examples searching the internet for  something like ' bbcode image link', or ' insert image html'. Your choice which you prefer - bbcode or html.

Admin -> Simpleportal -> Blocks -> Add Block

Then just select the block type Custom BBC or Custom HTML as igirisjin listed.

There is some documentation

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=blocks#

Navigat to the top menu for blocks and look under there for different topics

There is  new documentation by Angelina but not sure if it is visible to you.
