SMF Gallery Pro
« on: January 03, 2013, 03:45:34 PM »
Hello:

I am using SMF 2.0.3
Simple Portal 2.3.5

I want to create a picture of the day block.
I want the code to read from a directory of my choice in the gallery.

Has anybody written this code yet? or can help?

thanks

Wiz

Have to tried the Simple Portal standard block galleries? I thought it worked for both popular SMF galleries.

Look in the Simple Portal blocks section and when you select 'new block' you should see in the next page an item for 'Gallery'.
That will display latest photos or random photos.

If more specific conditions (selection a specific album) you can try searching for 'SMF gallery block'. I'm sure you will find custom code on this site... or on another SMF portal site  :P . That code will work in a custom php block. You can add the album ID in the block code. Try looking.

I know there is a piece of code out there for selecting a specific album but, considering you are using 'Gallery Pro' ... $$$? Why not ask support over there for a simple php block code to do what you want. The portal makes no difference, you just need the code for the gallery to pull the images you want in a php block. This should work for any portal system. The guy who is selling the gallery also has a portal system but I think this one is better...  :-[
Im sure he will help out paying customers.
