just to notate, I am using the most recent version of smf 2.0.3
I renamed child boards to sub boards

What I am looking for is a way to display a block right next to the sponsors name in the main forum index. I want to put their lo9go next to each sponsor in the catagory. I have 3 different levels of sponsorship, so the middle sponsors get child boards. thats where I want to display the bloack. In the actual catagory list next to the child board list

any ideas?

  This has nothing to do with SimplePortal and/or creating blocks. You simply need to add the appropriate html to the description of those child boards so it displays specific icons for each one.
