Recent Topics Block starting at first answer
« on: March 06, 2013, 07:07:55 AM »
hi,
we need a special recent topic block, that starts working on those threads at the first answer..

we often have new calendar entrys and start automaticaly a thread on every calendar entry..
we use a recent topic block for the subforum that holds every threads for those calendar entrys..
we just want to see recent diskussions in this block.. but those discussion start with the first answer.. not the thread-opening itself..

so the problem is: when someone adds a few calender entrys at the same time.. we have a few new entrys at the top of this recent topics block.. but real discussions are going down the list..

so we need a new recent topic block with this featuer.. any idea how to do? we also need the standard recent topics block for other subforums.. so we don´t want this "mod"/change for every recent topic block.. just for one =)

maybe it´s possible to add this as an option? or do we need a complete new block?

thx in advance

The SimplePortal community is pretty small, so you can expect it might be a while before someone comes along and is interested in carrying your idea out for you.  Unfortunately, bumping your topic is not likely to help you very much.

If you are interested in learning, you might try posting on one of the SMF coding boards, or even on a php forum.  You are bound to learn a lot that way.

Good Luck to you; I hope you can figure out the customizations your forum community needs.
