  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

blog style - first image with link to post

Hi,

I think this will be a great feature in SimplePortal: in a Board News block to see the the first image on the post with link to current post. My english is not so good to explain that but I give this example: standingstart.net/index.php

as you can see the first image on that post became the thumbnail picture with link to current post. When going to  "continue reading" it shows the normal topic with full image.

The forum that I mention is xenforo, but also VB has this option.

sorry for my bad english, what do you think of that?

This is difficult to standardize. I'm still not convinced that it can be done in a way that it caters to everyone's needs. Currently what you can do is, adding the thumbnail image to the post and aligning it to the right/left. In that way you can have thumbnail images in your board news previews.
