The patch for SM 2.0.7 is incompatible with Simple Portal. To be able to upload need to uninstall the portal.

To get the patch working, the following changes need to be made to the patch xml file.

If you have SimplePortal installed, you need to edit smf_2-0-7_patch.xml to change the instances under the Subs.php and QueryString.php sections of:

(?:board|topic)
To:

Code: (Replace) [Select]

(?:board|topic|page)

But anyway 2.0.7 patch is suspended, because there are 'real' bugs in it.

I've contacted the SMF developers and offered them a way to avoid that conflict. Let's just hope that they accept it.

Thankfully they have considered my idea, so the new update package shouldn't have any conflicts with SimplePortal.

Although it'd be unreasonable to ask them to do something special for SimplePortal, I believe that if there is a way to avoid conflicts, it should be taken for the benefit of the community. After all SimplePortal has been one of the most popular mods for SMF.
