Topic: smf admin side has vanished

I have SMF 2.0.7 and
simpleportal 2.3.5 installed

i went to do something the other day to 1 of the portal blocks in the forum admin
and there isn't any SP settings in the admin area???

i thought ok un-install and re-install it
hit the un-install button and it came back with loads of warnings so thought better of that

any idea's please?

1) Have you installed any other mods AFTER you installed SimplePortal?
2) Have you made any manual changes to the code after you installed SimplePortal?

Obviously, something is messed up.

And the warnings happen because of changes that happened to the files AFTER you installed SimplePortal -- they make it impossible for the uninstaller to recognize the SimplePortal code that the installer installed.  So removing everything you did since the last time the uninstall would have worked is the way to get back to the uninstall.

If all goes well, you can re-install your mods again afterwards.
