make the simple portal page the default page after login
« on: March 30, 2014, 06:27:32 PM »
After I log in to my SMF it redirects me to the forums instead of the simple portal page.  I want it to show the simple portal page after login so users can read all the announcements and see some important side blocks.

How can I make it so after login users will see the simple portal page first ?

Thank you.

I think I found my answer.

I read another post with a similar problem.

I found that if I go to:

Simple Portal> Configuration>General Settings

And then un-Check the box for "Disable Portal Redirection"

I then takes me to the portal page after login.

Thanks and sorry for being a newbie.   lol...

Loving SMF and Simple Portal.  Could not be more pleased.

Thanks

Although the images might be outdated, the documentation will always be able to help you out with the little things - like setting up the portal
http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=general_settings

You may be interested in learning what you can do with blocks

might be surprised at what ideas come to mind for your board after fully learning the capabilities of Simple Portal - and whata-ya-know I just learned of the  tag.
