Your SMF forum is ready and opened, with database etc?

If yes, do the following:

Go to the "Admin" tab >>> Login (if it is needed) >>> Go to "Main" in the admin area >>> Then click on "Package Manager..." >>> Then "Download Packages", then in the buttom you will see "Upload a Package", then under "Package to Upload:", so click on the browse option and look for the SimplePortal file (if you downloaded SimplePortal too), and click on the "Upload" button. Then you should see an option to install the package and you will see the name. So install it. Then you will see a list of the changes that the modification did, and you will see if there are any errors or not. If there aren't, install the package and SimplePortal will be on your forum. If there are errors, please try to take screenshots and post them here, or explain to us what are the exact errors so we can help you to fix them.

You should enter database username and password, not FTP one.
