How can I put an auto refresh on SM Gallery block?
« on: August 22, 2014, 01:39:08 PM »
I want to run a slide show on a gallery block and not have it as a static block... If I refresh the whole page the pic gets changed but I don't want to refresh my whole page and that too manually. I want to tweak a gallery block in a way that only gallery block gets auto refreshed after say every 3-4 seconds.

Can I add a code for this and where?

Thanks,
Saurabh

jQuery has a function to reload a file every xxxxxx miliseconds.
You can develop a script that works from a file and use a custom php block to manipulate the necessary code.
Do note that 3 second reloading will cause an issue with memory. It would be best to have something refresh every minute or maybe more.

Here is an example with the recent post block: click
Regards.
