Blocks centered in the main page with the boards inside them.
« on: November 26, 2014, 03:35:57 AM »
Hi
Just hope i am in right area for this question.
I was wondering as i haven't seen it yet, i have left and right block on my forum with widgets in them of news and general stuff. Which i quiet like the look and layout of this.
Just wondering as i would like also to have blocks in the main center of the page, and have my board set up related to there specific topics inside.
Is this possible and if so, could someone please explain to me exactly how i would go about doing this.
Thanks

Sorry but I couldn't quite understand what you mean by the following:

Just wondering as i would like also to have blocks in the main center of the page, and have my board set up related to there specific topics inside.

Can you provide a concrete example? Some pictures would make it easy for me to understand as well.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Oh hi, wow your the creator of this web site.
Firstly i would like to say, you have done an excellent job here doing all of this. I really like this mod. Its very user friendly and easy to set up.
You have taken a lot of work load us new people trying to setup a forum by using your program.
Its a bit difficult for me to explain this but hopefully i have a website so you can view the layout of the blocks that i am talking about.
http://www.spinabifidaturkey.com/smf/index.php
Its not impossible to do and i have the blocks left and right setup already on my forum.
Having additional blocks in the center with my board inside them, is what i am trying to achieve.
I guess to sum this up, is it possible to do using your mod?

Well, hello, Mr. SimplePortal here. :) Thank you for your kinds words. I had a great team of people working with me on this one though. I'm glad people find our mod useful.

The site you linked to is running SimplePortal as well. I think they are using our Blocks in Blocks trick, which should help with your request as well.

It's explained in detail here:

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5332.0

This particular method is the easiest:

And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...
