  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

Can't get the portal into maintenance mode

If I tick the maintenance mode checkbox and I save it will show up as not ticked again after I hit save... Moreover it doesn't even work, it doesn't show up at all, the shoutbox sounds are not working anymore, the portal itself doesn't work... I think I will try to reinstall it... You have no have no idea about how much I am depressed for this BS.

EDIT 1: sadly reinstalled, the maintenance mode problem went away but the shoutbox still doesn't refresh...

Mine is working ok.
I guess that data is saved in the database so if its not saving then the script that does it is being denied access or stopped from executing. Some server setups can limit php scripts. Sounds strange though is the rest of your forum and portal is working ok.

Reinstalling it cured the maintenance thing but the shoutbox still doesn't work... The funny thing is that when I installed it the first time it was working, I uninstalled all mods I had installed after SimplePortal to remove any chance of compatibility issues but no avail. This thing stressed me very much, it doesn't make sense at all to me.

The initial problem might be caused by an incorrect edit related to the following request:

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=13733.0

The shoutbox issue will be handled with the other support topic, so I'll be marking this one as solved.
