Visitors straight to forum

Is there any simple way to  show the portal only to registered members ? I need the visitors to go straight to the forum ...

Thanks in advance

Luis

Easy Way
What you can do is set the 'portal mode' to 'integration' on the Simple Portal configuration page.  All people arrive at the forum - so there is no front page.  You can still use all the blocks and  hide them from visitors using the group permission system in the block set up.

If you do need some kind of extra page for logged in users you can make one in Simple Portal and set permissions for viewing it. Add it to a custom menu. SMF custom menu mods might have permissions for viewing the menu item so that is also hidden from guests.

Harder Way
I do not see the point of having a portal (front) page just for logged in users (???). As you did post it in this section, that would require custom coding . If you want to do it that way I hope someone can help you out.

Many sites do have a different home for logged in and non-logged in users.
I would say have the board index for guests and for example a page with "recent activity" for logged in wouldn't be so bad.

Mine is the opposite, front page has all the stuff for guests. The members just go straight to the forum.  :P

I have some boards that are for guests and others that are for registered users. Also the guests aren't suppose to see the portal, because there's nothing there for them to see, no permissions .

I guess I will try the easy way.

Thanks for your help.
