  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

The Simple Portal Browser War!

Just thought I would address some concerns for the look/feel of portals in different browsers.  A friend brought it to my attention that the boxes change size/format in different browsers. 

I'm sure you're aware of this... but just wanted to bring it to your attention.  For example... take a look at the "welcome back" box in the two screen shots below.  One is in Internet Explorer 7, and the other in Opera.

You'll see what I mean.  What do you think is causing this?

Do you have any other blocks at the left side other than user info and who's online?

not only that, but different browsers see things different, as well as what os you are using, or even if you are on via phone..  8)

The only blocks I have on the left, BESIDES USER INFO and WHOS ONLINE... is

A Site Poll, and latest member.

Any ideas?

Can you provide a link and a test account check it? We use the same mod, and I haven't seen this issue, unless there was a huge image there in the block.

Also, what sizes do you for left and right sides? Would try making them both 200 px?
