Title: SMF Forum 2.0.2 + SP 2.3.4
Post by: AllRaDiO on December 28, 2011, 03:15:54 AM
It doesn't work for me. Any suggestion? When can I expect to update the portal to the version that is compatible with smf 2.0.2.
Thanks.

it seems that im having the same problem. could be my advanced theme, but i dont know.

what happens for me anyways is that I install Simple portal 2.3.4 onto my smf board 2.0.2, there are no failed tests, and it shows that it has been installed correctly. When it tries to redirect to the settings page - it redirects to the main admin panel, doesn't show any of the options for simple portal in the options directory but yet displays that simple portal 2.3.4 is installed in the package manager.

Help would be appreciated.

- Thanks

It sounds as though when you installed SimplePortal a parse error was ignored (even though you stated otherwise).
Although another modification could have edited the file in the same area causing the place marker to be changed.

That particular file only has 1 simple edit.

Default unaltered line of that file:
Code: [Select]
if (!empty($_GET))

SimplePortal Replacement:
Code: [Select]
if (!empty($_GET) && $_GET !== array('action' => 'forum'))

Uninstalling SimplePortal attempts a reverse edit (back to default).

afterwards i fixed the problem, for some reason my installation download was crap and installed simple portal wrong. none of my packages installed correctly, it displayed all the tests correctly but then did not install it at all and yet displayed that it was installed.

I fixed this simply by deleteing all smf files and uploading webinstall.php, and installed smf through that.

Congratualtions.  I'm sorry to learn you had problems with the SMF 2.02 upgrade, but i'm glad you solved the problem.
