Title: Adding blocks on custom page?
Post by: Jannu on May 29, 2012, 01:16:35 PM
Hey, I'm newbie here and I'm wondering can I somehow add simpleportal blocks on custom page that has nothing to do with smf?

I just made portal that I want to use as "home" page and I'd like to add simpleportal blocks on it.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance. :)

Jannu,

Welcome to Simple Portal!

What you are asking for is too much work to accomplish.
Simple Portal uses an assortment of preexisting functions and database queries only native to SMF.

Imo you are best to try and find a portal system that was written for whatever forum software you use.
Another option is to find someone willing and capable to edit the existing template of your home page to get the same/similar result (there are many developers out there that will do that for $$).

You can also opt to switch over to SMF in which case you will be able to use any available mods for it.
