ive tried a number of times today to load the 2.3.1 to smf 2.0rc3 and it wont allow me to install, waiting to see if there is a 2.3.1 which will load.

I favorite RC3 smooth because I don't understand install problem, I don't know how find bit problem. I am anxiously I don't like avera old instead better smooth..

just unzip 2.3.1 and change the package info xml and change any RC2 references to RC3 then rezip it back up
then it will install without issues

What's wrong with people to say 'I found a way to do it, it installed just fine, now it works!!! Yes!!!' and then leave without saying HOW they did it... :not-possible:

Sorry, but Dermot's response looks more like a proper response than ' I searched for RC3 and found this topic...' Don't know what's in there since this was the one I got when, guess what... I searched for RC3...
