Title: didn't/couldn't use install2.php and now don't have a functions table
Post by: neilbombd on July 07, 2011, 05:39:01 PM
I just upgraded my forum from 2 RC5, to 2.0 Gold using the large upgrade package.  Then I tried to reinstall SP, and ran into an error that is also detailed in this thread (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=7082.msg40072#msg40072).  So I used the workaround detailed in that post, where you take away the install2.php file, and just install the package without it.

This worked, and my old SP blocks are showing up, but now I can't add any new ones, because I get the 'smf_sp_functions doesn't exist' error.  After googling, I tried running install2.php from my server, but it gave an error message.  What should I do next?

Well I really need to get this sorted, so I think I'm going to manually try and create that table.  Is there anything else important in install2.php that needs to be manually carried out?  Everything with the portal seems to be going ok as normal, except I can't add new blocks.

Hopefully resolved now by following this advice (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=8672.msg46305#msg46305), then running install2.php.  Finally runs successfully.
