I tried to uninstall 2.1.1 so that I can upgrade to 2.2.2 I'm getting this error:
Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.
Execute Modification ./index.php Test failed
What do I need to do?

Could you attach your index.php file please?
-
You don't need to uninstall 2.2.1 to upgrade to 2.2.2.
Simply install 2.2.2 as a regular package and once it's done, you can simply delete the 2.2.1 package.
No need to uninstall anything.

Yes, thank you . I've attached it.

It is not the index.template.php giving errors, but the index.php file in your root. Also, please attach it as a PHP file, not a txt.

Sorry for delayed response, but you've again attached the wrong file. We need the index.php file in your forum root (not Sources directory). Forum root means, where your SSI.php and Settings.php files are too.

I'm sorry I've been ill lately. So I only have one brain cell functioning. And it needs to be recharged. ;D I believe I have the right file attached this time.

Uninstall the mod and replace your file with the attached one.

That didn't work. I still can not uninstall the mod. I even tried replacing the index.php file that you posted here first. And it's still a no go.

I'm not sure what's not working. You mean you still get "Test Failed" error? If that's the case, and it is only the "index.php" file; just ignore the error and uninstall the mod. Then replace your index.php file with the one I attached above.

Yep I was still getting the error. But I did what you said here and that worked. Thank you very much. :)
