Under profile -> Account Settings there is an option to list which versions of both SMF and simple portal a member is using.
The options available for SMF are as follows:
1.1
1.1.1
1.1.2
1.1.3
1.1.4
1.1.5
1.1.6
1.1.7
1.1.8
1.1.9
1.1.10
1.1.11
1.1.12
1.1.13
2 Beta 3.0/3.1
2 Beta 4
2 RC1
2 RC1-1
2 RC1.2
2 RC2
2 RC3
2 RC4
2 RC5
and the options available for SP are as follows:
2.0
2.0.1
2.0.2
2.0.3
2.0.4
2.0.5
2.1
2.1.1
2.2.2
2.3
2.3.1
2.3.2
2.3.3
These need to be updated to reflect the current versions available, for SMF 2.0 and 2.0.1 need to be added, and for SP 2.3.4 RC1 needs to be added. This is so members can accurately display the versions they are using on their forums. This is handy when a member posts a support question, making it easy to see in their signature which versions they are using to help anyone reading their post and wanting to reply to the support question.

Since 2.3.4 version is not stable yet, we don't have it in the options. And since our current stable version, 2.3.3, doesn't support SMF 2.0 and 2.0.1, we don't them in options too. They'll all be added once 2.3.4 goes final.

/me thinks that maybe this problem will be fixed now that 2.3.4 is final ... LOL
-
It should be fixed now. Thanks for reminding. ;)

Hate to reply to old topic, but I think this counts as a time to do so.
SMF 2.0.4
SP 2.3.5
I think they could be added now. :)

It should be updated now.

Hi,
I didn't want to create another topic so:
For some reason I can't change version of SMF and SimplePortal in my Profile/Account Settings.
I've tried on two different computers with different browsers. Is it maybe it's blocked for users with few posts?

This :)
You can edit profile when you have 5 or 10 posts ;)

I know this is an old topic but I was just editing my profile and noticed I can't edit my SMF and Simple Portal version numbers either. I don't understand why users can't edit their profiles with less than 10 topics. If doesn't make sense that you would invite inaccurate info or require people to post a bunch of stuff in order to have accuracy in the their profiles. I've never seen this on any forum site before. I'd like to recommend you remove this restriction so member profiles reflect accurate info for your members regardless of how many posts they've made.
Have a great day and thanks for a wonderful product! I've been using it for many years.

It turns out that a bug in SMF was causing the issue. I apologize. You should be able to edit those fields now.

Sinan old friend, may I make a suggestion?
Have them show under Forum Profile instead of Account Settings, so people do not have to enter their password just to change the versions.... ;)

Works perfectly now! Thanks so much!
Have an awesome day...

That's how we had it initially. Later, we limited new members' permissions to only allow for changing account settings because of signature and website field spammers. To make sure that new members could change their SMF and SP versions, we moved those fields to account settings. Now I realized that the SMF bug doesn't let them change those fields although they can see it. I didn't want to change where they appeared since it had been there for years but I guess it's not a big deal and makes things easier. So they now appear on forum profile page.

Really wish you'd install a Likes system, my friend. :)

If I had coded a likes mod, I might have considered it.
