Topic: Constant Session Verification Error

Hi,

It seems that my installation of SP went without any issues and I am able to make full use of my forum.

However, I have received different messages from users having problems posting and creating topics. They receive the following:

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Is this a known issue to others?

I haven't seen this sort of issue that is directly related to SimplePortal.

Was this occuring at all before you installed SimplePortal?
Does it happen for all users? How often?
Does it happen everytime they try to post/create topics?
What other mods do you have installed?

The strange thing is that when I try to log in with the users from my computer and reply/post topics I don't receive the errors at all. So at first I thought it was 1 user's PC or something like that, but I've received too many complaints so it has to be something going structurally wrong.

Sorry about the wait.

Wow, that is a long list of mods. Its possible that SimplePortal may be having compatibility with one of those mods, which makes the issue difficult to diagnose and solve.

Can you post a link to your site, and a test account if possible? (You can PM me the details if you don't want to post them publically)

Also, you could try to make sure that no blocks are being shown on the posting pages, that could be causing the issue. Try disabling SimplePortal as well as disabling blocks in the forum area (changing portal modes + etc).

Also, if you could post any errors that you have in your forum error logs then that would be very useful.
