Hello,

I went to the demo site and logged in, I believe I was an administrator.

I saw a lot about blocks and articles, but nothing about members, permissions boards, etc.

This has left me wondering what this software does.  I also do not know the differences between "integrated, stand-alone, and the other one".

Sorry if I am dense.  I am currently running SMF version 1.1.8 with the default theme and about 4 mods.

I have seen it live Here.

Thanks,
Cloud

First of all, welcome to SimplePortal!

SimplePortal is a simple-to-use portal modification. You can create a front page to your forum with it and use blocks on the forum pages as well. Only requirement is an SMF forum and that's all.

The test admin account on demo site only has permission to manage SimplePortal, so it's a restricted account. When you will install the mod, those areas will be added to admin area.

Integration mode is used if you don't want a front page, but you want to use blocks on forum. Standalone mode is used to run portal in a different directory.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Thank you SiNaN,

It sounds like this a multi-phase software that will accommodate a variety of "applications" such as, "front page" (which I believe is a miniature website), run in a separate directory, or to supplement a forum with blocks.

I have a large website (20 pages?) and I choose to run it in the same directory.

Are there any system requirements I need to be aware of?

Thanks again,
Cloud

Umm, I actually didn't mean the application Microsoft Frontpage, if you got it that way. This mod creates a frontpage as in here. Normally, you should have just seen this in an SMF forum.

As I said, you just need SMF in order to use this mod. There are no other requirements.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Hi SiNaN,

Thought you would want to know about this.  I can't download the program :'(

Internet Explorer cannot download ...ds;area=cat1;file=39;download from simpleportal.net

Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

So I guess I have to wait until another time, er something.

Have you tried the mirror?
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

Did the mirror work Cloud Walker?

We will try to resolve that issue with our downloads site. Which version of IE are you using?
