Hide boards on front page
« on: May 25, 2009, 05:36:14 AM »
Hi guys I've been looking round and can't find a solution for this. Sorry if I'm being an idiot. On our forum the front page looks really good all the blocks seem to be working fine, but at the bottom of the page is all the forum boards. We just want blocks on the front page, and then to click forum menu button for all the boards.

Forum is http://www.cardiffgaming.co.uk

Many thanks in advance

You website doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

For your issue: Make sure that the "Portal Mode" setting is set to "Front Page" in the admin panel under 'SimplePortal' -> 'Configuration' -> 'General Settings'.

Were there any errors when you installed SimplePortal?
Do you have any errors in your forum error log?
Which other mods do you have installed?

It appears a similar issues has happened before: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=2071.0

I tell a lie

Code: [Select]
// Action and board are both empty... BoardIndex!
if (empty($board) && empty($topic))
{
require_once($sourcedir . '/BoardIndex.php');
return 'BoardIndex';
}

Hadn't been replaced with
Code: [Select]
// Action and board are both empty... SPortal!
if (empty($board) && empty($topic) && $modSettings['sp_portal_mode'] == 1)
{
require_once($sourcedir . '/SPortal2.php');
return 'SPortal';
}
// Action and board are still both empty but no portal... BoardIndex
elseif (empty($board) && empty($topic))
{
require_once($sourcedir . '/BoardIndex.php');
return 'BoardIndex';
}

In index.php, all better now i hope
