Title: Underdog Questions
Post by: Fog on January 16, 2012, 09:51:56 PM
I'm starting to edit PHP more and more to enhance the message board I help run.

I have a few questions I want to ask you to see if you can help or point me in a direction to get support.

What platform should I use?

PM? or Topic?

Trying to intergrade some Javascript into a php file and I'm getting an error.

I'm not creating the right code within the php file, and have norrowed it down to Java.

Imo - Unless you wish to keep whatever you're working on in private, it is best to post public threads so that others may learn from the subject matter.

I'm not trying to persuade anyone to use my site but SimplePortal.net is mainly for SimplePortal support (blocks, specific altering of SP code, etc. <-- custom coding).
General coding questions not related to SP that are directed at me, should be done on my site in the forum under SMF Web Site Resources.. or of course you can post at SMF.org under the possible headings of SMF 1.x/SMF2.x Support, SMF Coding Discussion or Scripting Help (<- use best judgement for proper board) where there are a few decent coders to answer your questions.

That's not the proper way to do it.
This is for adding some js to a specific theme?
Add it directly to the theme's main js file, add it directly to the template or create your own js file & load it in the template with the html.
