I was trying to un-install another mod so I could update it, and there was a problem message before it was done...
(ok perhaps its SP)
I un-install 2.1.1 (went well)
tryed to un install the other mod..(same result)
tryed to re-install 2.1.1 and not I get this on all my forum
Warning: Unexpected character in input: ''' (ASCII=39) state=1 in .../smf/Sources/SPortal1-1.php on line 151
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ']' in .../smf/Sources/SPortal1-1.php on line 151
I'm down now!

well I fixed it... sort of D:
1. I backed up all the SMF area.
2. I found a backup in SMF that had SPortal1-1.php in it (they all did not have it).
3. replaced it on my /Sources directory
an even worse error message :angry-yell:
4. replaced the whole
SMF/
SMF/Sources
SMF/Themes/default
directory contents from the backup
and it was a mess but was working
5. un-installed SP
SMF looked fine
6. installed SP
looked good except no calendar events were in the block
7. deleted the calendar block, and made another one
it now shows events & holidays (but not the holidays I added)
will play some more... but its 99% back :D

Any updates on this issue?
-
I still dont think it has fully recovered..
I created 3 blocks to test the calendar block
1- 7 day events
2- 30 day events
3- 365 day events
you might verify that these SHOULD work:
none of the added holidays show up at all, I'm pretty sure they use to.
regular holidays only show up if they are in the current month.
posts that are linked to the calendar seam to work just fine!
this might just be a calendar block issue, all events shows fine on the forum info center?
-
Are you using the built-in calendar block or is it custom PHP?
-
built in block that was added on latest SP version
-
Are you sure that this is set to 1:
Show holiday items (0 = off, 1 = on)
I just tried in my local and it showed the holidays.
-
Show event items (0 = off, 1 = on) 1
Events in future (Days, 0 = Only Today) 7 , 30, 365
Show birthday items (0 = off, 1 = on) 0
Show holiday items (0 = off, 1 = on) 1
here is what I use for all 3, just double checked
-
did you add a holiday?
ie
"SP appreciation day" Jan 3?
-
It just shows the today holidays.
-
same here, maybe a bug
or
a needed added feature "include added holidays"
thanks
-
Not really. It only shows holidays that are today. Add a holiday for today and you will see it.
I think it is intentional, but I agree it should also show the upcoming ones.
-
Agreed :)
I added one for today "a test"
it showed
Holidays
New Year'sa test
needs a ", and space"
did yours run them together too?

The calender block has been completely redone with SimplePortal 2.2 which is soon to be released.
Marked as solved.
