  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

Forum appears in portal page

Hello. I just installed the new version of smf portal, 2.2 . My problem is that the forum appears in the index.php page. I tried to remove all the blocks but the forum is still there. Can anyone help me?

Ensure that in Admin > SimplePortal > Configuration > General Settings that SimplePortal Mode is set to Frontpage or Standalone. Disabled or Integration will not display the portal page.

And for Standalone mode, you will have to configure the SPstandalone.php file that is in your forum root.

Hello Eliana. Thanks for your answer.

What I didn't make clear was that the index.php shows the portal. It has all the blocks I have configured to show from the config panel, but between the top and the bottom block apperars the forum. I tried disabling all blocks, but the forum is still there. Any ideas?

Its www.ierodoules.com/forum . It's in greek but you can see the login box at the middle of the page under news. If you are logged in, the forum appears there. Thanks.

Sorry for delayed response. Any chance I get a test account?

Also, are you sure that you set Display Options for blocks as "Portal" and not "Forum" or "All Pages"?
