Hi,
I just wanted to check something. I have some custom code (php) that, when using TinyPortal, I had inserted into a PHP Article.
Looking into the article system on SP it seems slightly different in that it is only based on posts; can someone confirm this concept for me? In TP you could do both, forum based or create a custom document.
There are other ways to do what I want but I thought I'd check articles were a no-go area before moving on to something out-with the forum software.
Cheers,
Peter

At the moment the SP article system is based only on SMF posts. Although we are looking at improving the article system in the future, forum independant articles will be a part of the system revision. :)

Excellent, thanks. Can you suggest the easiest way to integrate php code into the forum!? I'm having a bit of trouble getting this to work as it uses SMF globals.

If you just want to put php code into a block then there is the PHP Block.
If you want to add it as a separate page, then there are SMF mods that deal with that:
Custom Action Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=331)
Site Integration Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1146)

Custom action mod looks precisely like what I need, thanks for that.
