Title: HTML Tags Show up in Front Page Posts
Post by: codnerd on May 16, 2009, 11:24:53 AM
When I make a post in my News & Announcements section, it will then show the post on the front page.

Problem is, I post Youtube videos a lot, and I have to put the [ HTML ] tags around their embedded code. When I do that, the video shows up just fine. Problem is, on the front page post, it shows the [ HTML ] tags around the Youtube video which makes the post look like crap...

Picture of problem is attached. (I photoshoped in a Red Square around the problem)

You could always use the AEVA (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=977) mod. This allows native embedding of youtube and similar video/audio clips via the url.

I know, I'm using another mod similar to that, but that's not the point.

I am notifying yall that, that is a bug with Simple Portal.

It looks like you're on an outdated version of SP (according to your profile fields). You may wish to upgrade to SP 2.2.1 and see if that still happens.

2.2.1 may solve the issue, but 2.2.2 -which will be out soon- will certainly solve the issue.
