Manual installation instructions (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1104;attach=71642;smf_version=1.1.7) are your best friends.
And the SP Devs too...
I really would liked to help you but your attachments are corrupted. Can you try uploading them again, without spaces in their names?
-
Sure. I had problems uploading them here last time. I kept getting an error.
-
Your files are attached.
Make sure you back-up your files.
Ignore the errors and uninstall the mod.
Use the attached files.

Hi,
Thanks so much for all your help. I do still have a problem.
I uninstalled the 2.0.5. Then I copied all of the files but I noticed that the new subs.php file looked different from the rest. I replaced it anyway and when I clicked on the forum I got all coding- no forum, so I replaced with my original one. So that brought the site back.
Went ahead with the new install and now I have an error at the bottom of the page:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function sportal_vital() in /home/content/s/e/l/sellersarena/html/Sources/Subs.php on line 3391
Can someone help me correct this please.
Thanks in Advance!!

Update:
I had to delete SP2.1.1 and start over. Anyway I have it now that the code error at the bottom of the page is gone. Now I have another issue LOL!!
My right side blocks are not showing. I do have the block checked for left and right side blocks. I went to SPortal1-1.template.php to change the width of the center block as I had seen mentioned in another post and the code it says to look for is not in my file.
ANy help would be appreciated :)
-
Is it possible to see your forum or check the file you edited?
-
Site is www.sellersarena.com
Here is my SourcesSubs.php and my SPortal1-1.template.php file. It is not showing the bottom or right side blocks and I have them all enabled.
Thanks so much for helping me with this. I really appreciate it.
-
Any help on this would be much appreciated. My portal really looks horrible without the missing bottom and right side blocks.
I have disabled blocks and enabled blocks trying to get these to show up and still nothing.I disabled the center blocks to see if this would help but it didn't. I changed the width of the side boxes but that didn't change anything.
Thanks!!

Thanks!!

Can I please get help with this. D: I have been trying to get this resolved for a week now. I really would like to get this resolved as I have members commenting about this.
-
Can anyone help me get this resolved?
-
Apologizes for delayed response.
Error seems really interesting. There is a premature ending of block codes.
Would you please attach your SPortalBlocks.template.php and SPortal1-1.php files? Any edits you've made to them?
Also, you would make things easier for us and speed up the process, if you would provide me an account with sp_moderate permission, via pm.
-
Hi,
Thanks for the response. I attached the files you requested and PM to follow :)
-
Just to add to this for when someone checks this out.
Even if I turn SP off it still shows the blocks in my Blog Community. Not on the main blog page but on every single blog when you open them. And also just the left and top blocks. Still no bottom or side blocks.
Hope we can get a solution to this.
Thanks!!

There seems to be something overriding SPortal templates. Possibly the Blog Community mod. I'll check that. Also can you list your all other mods of yours?
-

Okay I have totally removed the Blog Community and all modifications and this still doesn't work.
Still no blocks on bottom or right side. Can we Please get this resolved.
-
The layer system in SP 2.1.x seems to cause errors with the mods which uses unusual urls for its actions. The best I can suggest now is, using 2.0.5 until the issue is addressed for 2.1.x versions.
-
I have the same problem. :(
-
I uninstalled 2.1.1 made sure that all off the edits were gone then reinstalled 2.0.5 and it now works fine again. I just hope that this gets resolved so all folks can use the new version.
Also is there a way to get the home page of the portal to match my custom themes when a member changes their theme ? It looks terrible to have a custom theme that works through out the whole site and goes back to default when someone clicks on the Home page. I allow members to change their themes and it works great on all of the site except the portal home page. It always stays to whatever the default is set to.
-
Sorry for delayed response. I never was able reproduce this issue. I suggest that you try the new version: SimplePortal 2.2 Released! (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1822.0) I'll looking at the issue again, if you will experience the same issue with this version too.
For the theme, if you select "Forum Default" as the "Portal Theme" in SPortal Admin, theme on portal will be same as users' selection.
-
I tried 2.2 I have all of the blocks now but the Admin is missing tabs.
I only have Information, General Settings, Block Settings and Article Settings. I have no way to edit anything on my portal. I have no way to add, edit any blocks or articles or categories
-
Hmmm, may I get a screen shot from the Admin CP? Did you install the mod manually? Would you attach your Subs.php file here?
BTW, your portal looks cute. ;)
-
lol lol Thanks.
I notice I am missing the
Configuration
Blocks
Articles
Categories
I am using 1.1.8
Screenshot I am working on lol

There was some SP 2.1.1 code that was overridding the SP 2.2 menu code, not sure why it was there. SP 2.1.1 must not have completly uninstalled properly.
The attached file should work.
