Title: Navbar Help

I recently just put on my new Zone 99 theme for SMF 2.0 RC3 forums (simple portal not yet installed) and I was having some issues figuring out where and how to edit the buttons along the navbar to some of my own, hoping to create easier navigation overall. From what I've been told mostly, this editing is done in Themes>zone99_20rc3>index.template.php, but even there I'm still clueless as to where to make the changes. Yes I've tried this tutorial: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1510.0 , but was unable to follow it correctly as not all the instructions were do-able. If someone could please help me I would reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally appreciate it.
