I think a navigation block is needed and would be appreciated by many.
This one (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1532.0) doesn´t seem to work with present version of SP.
To make the block not beeing too long in forums with many boards, the nav tree needs to be collapsable.
I´m thinking of something like this:
(http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=13002.0;attach=6508;image)
...but maybe it would be better if an opened category closed automatically when opening another category?
(If this block would be to hard to make, maybe a solution would be to use Sinan´s "blocks in blocks (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5332.0)", with one block for each category, listing hardcoded links to the boards?)
