Problem logging in from front portal page?
« on: March 04, 2009, 09:26:53 PM »
Hey everyone, i love the portal, its amazing. I have a problem tho, and it seems to be on every theme, so i know its not theme based.

Here is what i have installed:

- SMF 1.1.8
- SimplePortal 2.1.1
- SMF Arcade (only mod installed on board)
- SMF Ajax Chat integration (installed , then uninstalled might be the problem im not sure)
- Board was converted from PHPBB to SMF. LogInOut.php file was edited to the specific code the conversion thread specified.

When i try to log-in from the portal via the User Info Block, I get this error :
Code: [Select]
404 - Attachment Not Found
The link, in the nav bar is:
Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.com/board/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=4;type=avatar.

Now , when i click back, and hit refresh im logged in.

Also, when i hit login, it goes to http://www.mysite.com/board/index.php?action=login2. Then is redirects to the attachment avatar link, which is really weird. I dont know whats going on if its a improper setting, improper coding im not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Loging in from the login box at the top of the portal doesnt work either. But when i click forum, and login from there it works with no problems. Could it be a problem in the LogInOut.php file that i had to edit in order to convert my board from phpbb to smf?

Thanks once again, and i love the portal good job guys keep it up!!

Would you try this for me:

Post a message with an attachment.
Logout.
Then login when you are viewing the topic you posted the message in.

See if you will get the same result.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...
