Just upgraded from smf 1.1.8 to 2.0 RC1, installed simple portal again everything is working fine but the forum width is huge. Im using the core smf theme and cant find anything searching here that fixes it, Im guessing its a css problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Was the forum width okay before You installed SP again (after upgrading SMF 1.1.8 to 2.0 RC1) ?

In default SMF theme You can set forum width in index.template file.

Chrome handles some code in a bit different way then IE or FF, not sure which particularly but difference can be seen on many scripts.

Anyway, the forum width is in that css i tald you before, but then again if Chrome is ignoring it, then maybe try setting width with normal numeric value instead of % (just a guess).

Are you using the default theme converted from SMF 1.1.8? When you upgraded from SMF 1.1 to SMF 2 the upgrader would have asked if you wanted to convert your themes. Make sure that you are using the SMF 2 RC1 default theme. You may have to reinstall your mods if you are using a converted version of the default theme.

You can also edit the CSS widths as Immortal suggested.
