Transferring "Info" from boardindex to php block
« on: September 18, 2008, 08:13:58 PM »
What am I doing wrong, or missing to make this work properly?

I can get the text for "Guest" and "Users" to show up, but the data is on vacation or something.
Basically, I copied code and globals from boardindex. php and inserted it to a php block in SPortal.
The "Most Online" stuff shows up, but not the other. (see pic)
Any help would be appreciated, and you can offer it to your users, if we can ever get it working.

Code: [Select]
global $context, $settings, $options, $txt, $scripturl, $modSettings;

// "Users online" - in order of activity.

echo '
',$context['show_who'] ? '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=who">' : '',
(empty($context['spiders']) ? '' :
$context['num_spiders'] . ' ' .
($context['num_spiders'] == 1 ?
$txt['ob_googlebot_spider'] :
$txt['ob_googlebot_spiders']) . ', '),
$context['num_guests'], ' ',
$context['num_guests'] == 1 ?
$txt['guest'] :
$txt['guests'], ', ' .
$context['num_users_online'], ' ',
$context['num_users_online'] == 1 ?
$txt['user'] : $txt['users'];

// Handle hidden users and buddies.
if (!empty($context['num_users_hidden']) || ($context['show_buddies'] && !empty($context['show_buddies'])))
{
echo ' (';

// Show the number of buddies online?
if ($context['show_buddies'])
echo $context['num_buddies'], ' ', $context['num_buddies'] == 1 ? $txt['buddy'] : $txt['buddies'];

// How about hidden users?
if (!empty($context['num_users_hidden']))
echo $context['show_buddies'] ? ', ' : '', $context['num_users_hidden'] . ' ' . $txt['hidden'];

echo ')';
}

echo $context['show_who'] ? '</a>' : '', '
<div class="smalltext">';

// Assuming there ARE users online... each user in users_online has an id, username, name, group, href, and link.
if (!empty($context['users_online']))
echo '
', $txt[140], ':<br />', implode(', ', $context['list_users_online']);

if (!empty($context['spiders']))
{
if ($modSettings['ob_googlebot_display_own_list'])
echo '
<br />
', $txt['ob_googlebot_spiders_last_active'], ':<br />';
else
{
if (empty($context['users_online']))
echo '
', $txt[140], ':<br />';
else
echo ', ';
}

echo implode(', ', $context['spiders']);
}

echo '
<br />
', $context['show_stats'] && !$settings['show_sp1_info'] ? '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=stats">' . $txt['smf223'] . '</a>' : '', '
</div>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="" width="100%">
<span class="middletext">
', $txt['most_online_today'], ': <b>', $modSettings['mostOnlineToday'], '</b>.
', $txt['most_online_ever'], ': ', $modSettings['mostOnline'], ' (' , timeformat($modSettings['mostDate']), ')
</span>
</td>
</tr>';

You want to display most online ever in Who's Online block?
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

No.
I would just like the info from the one section in the "Info" box, at the bottom of the forums, to be on the front, via the portal.
I've tried to show the spiders, with your help from the SMF board, with no success.

Originally, on the SMF board, I asked for a way to see the spiders on your "Online" portal box, without going to the bottom of the forums to check when there was a guest viewing. After trying a few times without success, I thought about just transferring the info into a php box. What is in the pic is the best result I've got so far. I'm sooooo close.

Your "Online" box looks nicer, but either way, I would like to see the spiders on the front.

So showing spiders on Who's Online block is enough, right?

Marking this as solved.

The Whosonline block can now show spiders.
