Sir, i recently installed SP 2.3.4 in my smf2.0.1 (with out editing) but my shout box not wrked... So i uninstall it n lost my forum.. Aftr that i cant open my forum.. N aftr some days hard wrk got it back... N so now i hav some fear to install sp again.. So now need ur help to install it again... I m new in smf n sp....

What files fail ? Try parsing the ones that fail ....
or ( last resort ) you can do a large upgrade 2.0.2 so all index files would be at default, you will keep all posts and cats, but you would have to install all themes and mods. That way you wont have any old edits left for when your site went down.

What other modifications do you have installed on your forum?
If you do not, you could do like MC73 says and use the large upgrade package (available from SimpleMachines.org) to cleanly reset your forum's files so there are no conflicts. Then you should be able to install SP like normal.
If you have modifications installed, you can try going through the steps to install SimplePortal but do not install yet. Just come back here and tell us if any files failed (and if so, which ones). If nothing failed, you can try to install SP as normal.
If your shoutbox does not work after this, we can help solve that problem.

Sir. I want sp in my smf2.0.1 not intrestd in 2.0.2 coz it hav only few mods... Can u suggest me a sp version which support all default files of smf2.0.1 ?

SimplePortal 2.3.4 is confirmed to work with SMF 2.0.1. Please follow the steps in my post and let us know the results.

Installed no.of mods like thank-o-matic, pm reader, pm informer, adk portal, guest notification, referal system etc.

:P ... you installed 2 portals! ADK portal?
No wonder there are so many warning and changed files. I would setup a clean install (all new files) of SMF and start again ... do not install adkportal, and install simple portal before any other mods.

Sir, but the main prblm is that i cant uninstall adk portal frm my forum.. Its there in my forum even after clicking on uninstall n giving warning that it wont be uninstall completely while uninstalling... Is there any other way to remove it?

Just don't install ADK Portal as well.

Sir, Currently my forum is running on smf2.0.1
n upgraded n downgraded but cant uninstall adk portal... Adk portal is one of the useless mod.. That grabing more space frm footer n not wrkng for me..

nope dont.. Misundestand me... I already told u that i cant remove adkportal frm my forum... It remains installed even after uninstalling... I really hate that mod coz it takes more space for their advt in my forum's footer... I want simple portal not adk portal...
You knw any solution to remove adk postal frm my forum through ftp(cpanel) or else...
If u still hav any doubt, i will giv u my forum's alternative admin account to check my problem...

(sorry thats my error i accidently posted install adk in my prev post... Sorry... I mean i cant uninstall it even aftr upgrading/downgrading my forum)

You need to download that package, unzip it, upload it to your website in the same folder your forum is located, and let it overwrite all the files in your forum. Feel free to delete the upgrade.php file, you won't need it, but everything else should be uploaded and overwritten. You will need to reinstall your mods after this, but it will give your forum clean files from which to install.
Unfortunately, there's not much else that can be done besides doing this. It's the fastest and most efficient way of cleaning up a bad mod (un)installation like this, which seems to be the case.

K. Thanx... Is it clean all my threads, attachments n posts? How much is its size?

It doesnt change your database ... as far as i know, unless yours is out of date (and it isnt). It will not delete and posts or attachements - it will look like a new smf board but with all your data still there.
It will not make your smf installation bigger - just clean everything out and replace with new files.

Checking the file's size is as easy as attempting to download it, when it asks you where to save it it tells you the size: 2.6 mb.

It does not delete and posts or attachments.
After upgrade it is the same size as any other smf install - no change.
