I've spent all day reading this support forum and mucking about with my SP (2.2.1) and SMF (2.0 RC1). You guys have the greatest mod in the SMF world! I cannot believe the insane hours I've spent trying to figure out how to hack multiple custom themes to do pitiful versions of what SP can do in a flash. Thank you SO MUCH for the development of this. With a couple SMF mods (like custom pages) I can finally quit trying to keep multiple websites for different uses going and can just use the SMF+SP for most stuff. I'm so relieved I can hardly believe it. Where is your paypal link??
One feature I cannot figure out, I think it doesn't exist is why. When I am customizing a block for where it shows, and I go to advanced options, the 'forum' option is separate from the 'boards' list.
I thought that meant if forum was checked but the boards were unchecked, that it would show a block on the "main index page of the forum" -- but that once someone went "into a board" or was interacting (such as replying), the block would not show.
This is important just because the index of the forum I would like to have lots of forum-y blocks on the left and a couple images linked, so they see that 'up front', and can easily get to it again by going to forum home. But once someone is "inside" so to speak, they need the space on the screen for reading and interaction, so at that point I no longer want those blocks to show.
Additionally, on all boards I want my moderators options to show up on the right, but if there's also blocks at the left from the basic forum options then their reading screen is tiny.
(I know I could remove permissions from mods for the blocks at left, but (a) I want them to see those on the index page of forum, and (b) some mods are admins.)
If I have misunderstood the options please let me know, but I have been messing with it for awhile and the only way I can seem to get a block on the forum index page, gets it on all the board pages underneath that as well.
So I think this would be a very neat feature for you guys to consider in the future.
Best regards,
PJ
