Title: WYSIWYG HTML editor integration
Post by: radu81 on November 05, 2010, 12:43:47 PM
I don't know if it's a good idea, but I'd like to have an integrated HTML editor (like CKeditor, tinymce, fckeditor..etc) for my pages.

Is this possible? Thank you

This is a good question to ask over at SimpleMachines.org
It is not scheduled for version 2.0, but may be under consideration for version 3.0 (codenamed Saguaro)

The fact that nobody has submitted a mod to replace th WYSIWYG editor makes me think that this work would be challenging.

Maybe I did not explain well, but the editor HTML I would like to use it on my html pages in Simple Portal, and not to be availble on forum for my users.
Tinyportal it has one, very basic editor, but it has one... It would be comod for quick edit of my html pages, for complex pages I can use an external application and then paste the html source.

The development team is unlikely to include a WYSIWYG HTML editor within the core SimplePortal package (because of the complexity that it would add), although that isn't to say that someone won't make a mod for it.
