  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

Polls Show To Members but not Guests

Been getting various errors related to my forums Poll block.

The polls show with no problem to members but not to guests.

(I'd like the polls to appear to guests but not be able to vote. Is that possible?)

Is that the only kind of error you are getting? (I mean "undefined index allow_view_results")

Are you sure guests are allowed to view polls and users are allowed to view the poll results?

I can't really think of a case in which you would get "undefined index allow_view_results" error but not "undefined index allow_vote". There shouldn't actually be any errors at all. The only case where there would be an error is when you have a poll block with its type set to "Normal" and topic id set to the id of a topic which is not accessible by the user viewing the block.

What type of poll block are you using? I guess it's the "Normal" type with a topic id. If yes, are you completely sure that guests can access the poll in that topic and view its results?

That error message means there is no poll that can be viewed by the user you are viewing the block with. Can you tell me the exact settings for the block? You could get a screenshot of the edit block page.

It seems that there are no polls that are visible by guests. Are you sure you've given Guests group (from Admin > Members > Permissions) View polls permission?
