Topic: Recent Posts/Topics from different sites on one portal

Is it possible to put Recent Posts/Topics from different sites on one portal, like for example:
if I have:
www.site_1.com,
www.site_2.com
www.site_3.com

and  www.main_site.com,

to have Recent Posts/Topics from all 3 sites on Recent Posts/Topics block of  www.main_site.com?

I don't think that SSI will work in this case, so maybe only way to do this is by RSS.

  The answer is yes, if someone or yourself is willing to develop a small bit of code.

  If you can guarantee that this info is displayed on a specific page of those forums, such as creating a simple portal page for each site that displays the needed data in the html you can use cURL. A routine would have to be made/developed to get the data from those pages, use DOM to put the needed html in array(s) and then display the data whichever way you wish.
