Topic: Custom menu in portal

OK hope this makes sense-
I would like to replace the main menu on my portal page with a custom menu bar created using this
http://www.cssportal.com/css3-menu-generator/
but keep the same forum one in the forum page
(If I could use the above one for the forum stuff too like this guy wants to do that would be awesome but its not a dealbreaker)

Anyway, I duplicated my theme (using the SMF default) and changed the banner for the front page- So I have a totally different theme to work with here. I know Ill need to drop the css in the portal theme's css file but what about the html(for the banner) and how much am I removing from portal theme's index.template.php?

  Please do not double post as I had to remove the duplicate.

  If you are referring to the navigation links at the top of your portal and forum page, this is not specific to Simpleportal but is actually part of the SMF code itself. You will need to post your query at simplemachines.org regarding editing/changing the navigation bar/tree format if you want that to appear on every page of your forum as a whole.

  If you are only referring to having that displayed on your home portal page, a block or manual edit could be created to show that navigation tree format but the home template would still display the default navigation tree. It would require extra edits to the actual smf code to determine if the user is on the home page and display your custom navigation tree instead (or to display nothing on the home page because you use a php block for the custom code).
