Title: Installing Same Theme Twice
Post by: tombillings on February 16, 2011, 08:43:27 PM
I would like to install the same theme twice, I have done some edits to a theme and they look good, but I would like the user to be able to use the theme as it was intended as well. Without getting into too much detail, is it possible to install the same theme twice and use them both as options for themes? For instance I overhaul a theme, but want the original version of overhauled theme to be installed as well...any help would be appreciated.
SMF RC4, SP 2.3.3

Thanks in advance,

-Tom

Yes, of course. you will have two different themes in two different directories. And you will want to give them two different names.

So -- if the original theme is called "SpringTime", you might call your modified theme "SpringTimeOrange"

For more on theming, see the documentation at http://docs.simplemachines.org (http://docs.simplemachines.org)
