Title: How to display a block on a homepage
Post by: Manuel on June 10, 2010, 08:32:24 AM
My root directory is different from my forum but I wanted to add a S.P. block in an iframe on my homepage. Like current topics or something. Also how would I add a full list of forum categorys in the main S.P. page :)?

Thanks.

SimplePortal has a feature called "standalone portal", which allows you to put the portal page in a directory different from your forum.  This makes it simple, of course, to put content in SimplePortal blocks on your site's home page.

If this is what you are looking for, there are a couple of approaches to providing a board index on a portal page.

The simplest is to use SimplePortal's standard Top Boards block, making sure to show all of them, as in this post: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=627.msg4223#msg4223 (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=627.msg4223#msg4223)
