Title: Smiley set in shoutbox gets changed when users use custom smileysets
Post by: ZombieBobie on April 11, 2011, 04:23:45 PM
Hi,

I'm having an issue where some of my forum members choose smileysets other than the default in their profile->looks and layout options (in example, No Smilies).

Now, whenever a person with a custom smiley-set posts in the shoutbox, it changes for everyone.

In example:
I shout - all smilies are the forum default.
Customsmiley person shouts - all smilies are set to "No smilies" (if that's what they had picked)
I shout - all smilies are changed back.
and so forth.

Anyone experienced that before?

I'm using latest SP and SMF 2.0 RC5.

update - this only happens if I turn on Caching.

I turned off Caching in Server Settings and it solved itself.

Checking caching was a good idea. I will ask about that.
Does the smiley problem only occur in the shoutbox, or does it also occur when your users post?
Thanks for checking.
