I run a help desk site using SMF 2.0.15 and SimpleDesk in stand-alone mode. No access to the message boards. It has been running for several years without incident.
I have a favicon.ico in the root of the forum and it has always worked as the default icon for the forum. But after installing SimplePortal (integration mode) an annoying thing is happening with the favicon in the bookmarks and history area of FireFox (63.0.1.x64).
The proper custom favicon appears on the tab at the top of the screen, but the favicon for the FireFox bookmarks and history for the help desk have reverted back to the default SMF icon with the fulcrum and lever. I have searched my forum directory tree for any other files called favicon.* and have found none. I can't figure out where it's getting this icon from. Could it be that there's a location in SimplePortal where it's hard coded some other favicon file name and that's being used by FireFox? I've browsed through all of the ICO and PNG files I could find in the forum directory tree and have not located any default SMF fulcrum and lever graphics that would be a likely suspect. Could it also be using a JPG or GIF?
Note that this does not happen in IE. Have not tried Chrome.
Thanks,
Paul
