Title: Simple Portal page is missing
Post by: lbulen on February 23, 2011, 12:55:19 AM
After moving SMF and the integrated Simple Portal from server xxxxxx to server yyyyyyy, I can no longer see the SimplePortal.  SMF looks fine, but the portal which is the front page to the site...is mising.

I'm running SMF v2.0 RC3, and Simple Portal v2.3.2.  I know both can be upgraded to a newer revision, but I'd prefer to fix in place before attempting the upgrade.

One more note...file locations are changed too.

On server xxxxxx, the original SMF location was something like /home/content/t/o/userid/html/smf2.
On server yyyyyy, the new SMF location is /var/www/html/smf2.

To fix SMF, they provide a script "repair_settings.php".  I ran this script to fix SMF and MYSQL.

Does simple portal use "hard coded paths"?  Are the values in a config file, or a table within SMF?

I fixed the problem, by doing the following as "admin" for the site:
Administration Center » Themes and Layout » Theme Settings » ATTEMPT TO RESET ALL THEMES
